We can track sales/subscriptions and export a list of who/how many etc. Yet to find out what the customer's last action/action that caused them to convert was, we have to go into the individual customer profile.
It would be really useful to be able to do this in bulk. I.e. we had 10 subscriptions today, 10 were likely from the email newsletter, four from Twitter, four from direct entry.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
This report www.soccercoachweekly.net/control/order-referral-analysis seems to not offer much of use.
Click on the referrer number and it throws an error.
So how do we find out what referrer 376 means?
Is it the ID number of a message?
Hi Steph, Hi Kevin,
The Referrer on the Order Referral Analysis screen is the incoming URL for orders / purchases.
The screen should appear as such (screenshot).
I will see to resolving the error asap.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
Hi Jose. I have a screenshot but, err, how do I add it? There's no option to add an image that I can see in the WYSIWYG editor?
As I can't add an image, here is a link to our order referrer report www.soccercoachweekly.net/control/order-referral-analysis?hs...
Hi Kevin,
Do you have the option that appears on the attached screenshot?
On the other hand, thank you for the link.
The issue is being analysed.
I will keep you up to date.
Kind regards,
Jose
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for letting me know.
I will see to this and return with an update.
Kind regards,
Jose
Good morning Kevin,
You should be able to upload attachements now.
Can you please confirm?
Thank you in advance,
Jose
Hi Jose. Yes, it's there now. Thanks
Hi Jose. Any news on this one?
Hi Kevin,
I have nudged the issue as far up as possible on the support queue.
As soon as its progressed I will let you know.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind regards,
Jose
Hi Kevin, Hi Simon,
I wish to confirm that the reason why the Referrer link appears as a number and not a URL is due to the users' browser having added security (i.e. a security add-on) that blocks Affino from identifying the referrer.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
Referer:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Referer
Hi Jose,
This doesn't make sense to me.
The number (eg 430) that is shown in the referrer report references a message ID. The requirement at the Affino end is that clicking on that number takes me to the message in Control. That's the only step that's missing.
I believe you do know the referrer, it's just not being processed correctly.
Thanks
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
I do not see the Referrer number 430, but in terms of the link taking you to the Control Centre, this happens when you click on the record and not the link.
Please see attached screenshare.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
I made up 430.
But the link you click on that is broken is referring to a message ID.
So when you clicked it, it should take you to that message in Control so I can see which message generated the order
Hi Kevin,
I have tested on my staging instance by sending a message with an Add to Basket option on the template, but, the Referrer link is not reflecting the order associated to the message.
The issue will be analysed and an update provided at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
Hi Kevin,
Regarding links in messages and the referrer value, please see the following FAQ:
Will a referrer link be generated if a user clicks on a link...
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
Hi Jose,
This still didn't really answer my problem. I'd be happy to talk about it.
Also, please can you confirm what methodology this is using to give a referral to an order? Is it first click/last click?
Good morning Kevin,
Pardon the belated reply.
Please refer to this FAQ: How does Affino give a referral to an order?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jose
