Control > Analyse > Converting Articles Report
The Converting Articles Report analyses which articles performed well and led to a purchase.
The system tracks the 3 latest articles a user viewed prior to a purchase. These 3 articles are stored against the order.
Affino stores their most recently visited articles in any number of sessions, not just the session in which they made the purchase.
Note: You will need to select which Article Channels on the CRM Profile to track converting articles.
For instance, you may not want the T&Cs article to be counted as one of the converting articles.
Control > Converting Articles Report
The report displays articles that performed well in converting purchases.
The last 3 articles that a user has viewed are stored against the order.
Filters
You can export the results in XLSX, CSV and TSV file formats.
Columns
Note:
The functionality is related to various modules within Affino, these are:
Control > Orders > Listing
Added to the Orders listing screen is the new Converting Articles filter (to the right of Exclude Subscriptions - Ex Subs filter).
Use it to find orders that are associated with a converting article.
1.- Search for an article(s) using the filter:
2.- Select and order from the results:
3.- The specified article will be displayed in the Latest Converting Articles panel within the order detail screen:
Control > Order > View (detail) screen
We have added a new panel (Latest Converting Articles) below the Comments panel, which displays the 3 converting articles for the given purchased order.
Columns
The results are sorted by the most recently viewed.
Note:
Control > Article > View (detail) screen
The 3 latest articles users viewed (before leading to a purchase) will be shown on the article view screen.
Below Recent Viewers, a Recent Conversions panel has been added.
It lists the 5 most recent users who have this article within their 3 converting articles (tied to an order).
Similar to the Recent Viewers panel, you can add users to a Contact List.
Columns
Control > Design Objects > Design Elements > Converting Articles Design Element
You can now surface the highest converting articles via a new design element, so these can be shown on the skin.
The new design element is based on the Article Listing Design Element.
Two important options on the Converting Article DE are:
Viewed Timeframe
Enter the timeframe (number of days) for which to filter the results. Combined with Sort Order and Content Duration, you can list articles in many different ways (e.g. Most viewed articles in the past 7 days from all articles published within the past year).
Content Duration
Enter the number of articles you wish to display which have been published within the last x days. To display Content published within the last 7 days, enter 7. Entering 30 would display content published within the last 30 days.
Notes:
Control > Message Campaign > Add/Edit/View
New placeholders and block elements have been added to the message template (code editor) and message template builder modules.
These list converting articles to be used in a message send.
Given the above, new settings have been added to Message Campaigns (within the Auto Messaging panel) in order to determine the number of articles to list, their time frame and content publish range.
Fields:
Notes:
Control > Promote > Message Templates > Template Builder
We have updated the Message Builder so a message campaign can be sent showcasing the best performing articles.
A set of blocks has been added to the Message Builder for the Converting Articles.
The have same structure as Section Content blocks:
These can be dragged onto the canvas:
Control > Message Template > Code Editor
We have added new placeholders to the Code Editor.
These will list out the converting articles so they can be used in a message campaign.
The converting article placeholders are available under the Article listing placeholders:
Note: For converting articles, the number of articles, viewed time frame and content duration are set on the Message Campaign.
The amount of Converting Articles, Viewed Time Frame and Content Duration determines the number of articles and order in which they are displayed.
Control > Contact > Commerce tab
Since we are tracking the last 3 articles that a user viewed before making a purchase, we are now displaying these results on the Commerce tab under the Contact record.
A new Latest Converting Articles panel has been added below the Analysis panel.
This displays the latest 3 converting articles from the most recent product purchased:
