Promotions Guide
Overview
The Promotions channel and Profile allow you to display several catalogue items for sale, so that customers can choose (and compare) which promotion is best suited for them.
Promotion Profile
Control > Commerce > Promotion Profiles >(Add/Edit)
The Promotions Profile is where you set the Promotion Articles (product articles related to catalogue items) that you wish to show on the display side.
Fields
- Name: Enter the Name for this Promotion Profile
- Rows: Add two or more product articles to be displayed on the promotion channel
- Highlighted: Choose to highlight the selected product article
- Promotion Action: Select the action on the promotion button. This will override the default behaviour of going to the detail page and override the Add To Basket Action on the Store Profile.
For this last option, if you choose Straight to Basket, the button will display Add to Basket:
When you click on the button, you will be taken to the Shopping Basket screen:
If you select View Detail, the button will display View Details:
When you click on the button, you will be taken to the Product Article (Detail) screen:
Promotions Channel
Control > Structure > Channels > (Add/Edit)
In order to display the products set on your Promotions Profile you will need to create a Promotion type channel.
Once you've created the channel, you will need to assign the promotions profile to it.
Control > Structure > Channels > (Add/Edit) > Profiles panel > Promotion Profile
Once the profile has been assigned, you will see the products on the display side:
