Overview:
The Media Provide Profile allows you to integrate with external media providers.
You will need to configure this profile if you wish to embed Youtube and Vimeo videos together with other media into your posts.
In order to obtain/use the Youtube Data API, you must first access the Google Dev Console:
You must first select an existing project or create a new one.
1.- Click on the CREATE PROJECT option at the top, right hand side of the dashboard:
Or, click on the organization button located at the top, left hand side of the dashboard:
Make sure you're on the correct Project and click on "Go to API's overview"
From the APIs & Services screen, click on "Enable APIS and Services":
From the next screen, search for the "Youtube Data API":
Select it and then enable it:
After enabling the API you must create the needed credentials.
Click on the 'Create Credentials' button
When adding credentials to your Youtube Data API project, you must select the following options:
After this, click on the "What credentials do I need?" button.
This will generate the needed API key:
Copy the API key then click on Done.
The API key will be stored on the API > Credentials screen:
In Affino, navigate to the Media Provider Profiles screen:
Control > Media > Media Provider Profiles
Click on Add:
From the Media Provider Profile Edit screen we will fill out the necessary fields in order to create a new profile.
Click on Save.
The new Media Provider Profile is now in vigor:
Go to the Media Items screen:
Control > Media > Media Items
Test by adding a Youtube link as an embeded media item:
You are now able to create media items as embeded Youtube videos:
