Although our main focus has been on improving usability of existing community elements these past couple of months, we have rolled out some great enhancements, which you can see by clicking through.

Key New Community Features

Status Updates / Micro Blogging

This is the best thing to happen on the community side in Affino in a while. We’ve rolled out a great new component which lets you post and display status updates throughout Affino, whether it be on your profile, on a ’Titter Lite’ page or throughout the site in the form of a Design Element.

Recommendations Design Element

It is now possible to place recommendations throughout the site with the new Recommendations Design Element. Affino will then present the best-match recommendations to the users based on their interests.

Personal Tools v2

There’s been a complete overhaul of personal tools so that they are a radical improvement from before, providing users with direct access to their most recent content, message and profile.

Personalisation Filter

A big improvement is the roll out of personalisation filters on the key content and community highlights design elements. It means that it is now possible to build ’My Home’ screens with content filtered around the user based on their community network and participation.
