Film Release Highlights for 2018
At the Movies 2018Film Highlights 2018Film Releases 2018FilmsmoviesWhat to Watch+-
2018 looks like it could be a really spectacular cinema year. I tend to have fairly dual viewing habits where I go to the cinema to view the big 3D blockbuster spectacles, but am happier to watch quieter indy films on my own fairly big screen at home. The reason Star Wars keeps drawing them in is because of its combination of adventure, the spectacular and the amazing score and sound design - a full 360 sensory experience. So cinema for me should be immersive and full Dolby Atmos Surround Sound.
It almost goes without saying that I’m most excited to see Han Solo complete the Kessel Run in his first solo outing this May - but there is plenty more spectacular beside.
The 10 I’m Most Excited to See
- Solo : A Star Wars Story (Ron Howard) : May 25
- The Shape of Water (Guillermo del Toro) : February 14
- Isle of Dogs (Wes Anderson) : March 30
- Alita : Battle Angel (Robert Rodriquez) : July 20
- Ready Player One (Steven Spielberg) : March 30
- Black Panther (Marvel) : February 12
- Tomb Raider (Eidos / Square Enix) : March 16
