A big part of the Affno promise is that you’re buying into a full-service platform which you can configure and manage yourselves in-house - without the need for any additional external help. In practice Affino teams up with our clients to deliver on any aspect of a project which they want to outsource, and trains the team up on any setup tasks they want to run as well as all the day to day operational aspects.
On this occasion we worked with the Gill marketing and digital teams, to deliver the Cosán na Gealaí site (Over the Moon) Irish Language course site. It features a course overview, and sample sections split down by key school year age groups. The idea is for teachers to be able to get a proper feeling for each of the courses, and sample some of the interactive learning tools - before contacting the appropriate regional sales rep to buy into the programme on behalf of their school.
Crucially all ongoing management, insight and and the ability to add further course modules and years are now within the remit of the Gill team.
There are 4 Age Groups covered here - Naíonáin Shóisearacha, Naíonáin Shinsearacha, Rang a hAon, and Rang a Dó. Where you are presented with an overview of the complete course materials - printed and digital - right across the school year, from September through to June - as per below example :
Full service and delivery is fundamental to the Affino proposition. In comparison with Over the Moon, the Cosán na Gealaí site delivers on all the fundamentals: it is fully GDPR compliant, end to end encrypted, fully self managed, and provides great insight and intelligence on how the community is interacting with all the elements.
Affino natively provides great SEO tools as well as extensive help guides and SEO advisory. Following a single Affino SEO advisory session, the Gill team went ahead and transformed the SEO of the new Cosán na Gealaí site so that it delivered on their SEO goals within a month. Partly this is down to Affino's native compliance with Google and Microsoft's SEO guidelines, as well as Affino's built in SEO advisory tools and partly this is down to the full fidelity service which ensures fast secure access to all content.
For the analytics, Affino developed an innovative approach to tracking views on the various app and interactive course elements and surfaced the data right within Affino's core site and content analytics modules.
Beyond the app connectors, and a new display layer for the course overviews, there were no further custom developments required for the site.
Cosán n Gealaí is a relatively simple site in how it is consumed by the audience - there is though a degree of sophistication in how it is delivered.
The prospect is introduced to the service, then each module and then able to view specific content before contacting their local sales rep. Key to this simplicity is that the Gill team can keep everything current and react to any updates in the courses (there are more modules being added) as well as any changes in the sales team.
We made managing each element as simple as possible and provided guidance on exactly how to approach each element.
The Affino team liaises with a number of different Gill teams and departments - Education, Book Sales, Digital, and Marketing among them - each division is able to oversee and manage their part of the overall solution!
These projects are always very much about collaboration, where the results will always be stronger when the teams fully work together. We look forward to rolling out many more such instances for Gill.
