Team Affino has added a lot of smart support resources over the last couple of years - so it seemed a timely occasion to highlight the best of what is available - and encourage further use and adoptions of those essential utilities.
I thought we should underline what facilities exist to help Affino users get the most our of the leading Unified Business Platform.
We've made a real concerted effort to improve the FAQ Section - which is your best bet for quick and simple solutions to a variety of Affino conundrums. The whole idea behind FAQ's is that they can be used to very rapidly disseminate the most essential of information. So it makes a lot of sense checking there first - especially if you'r looking for usage tips and tricks!
For more detailed coverage we have the written and visually-punctuated Help Guides - which give you a more step-by-step and full-reference approach to mastering different areas of Affino.
A new addition to Affino’s community services is a much-requested Affino Community Forum - where Affino Users can collectively gather their thoughts and share their experience of Affino - as well as help define future iterations.
This is in addition to dedicated Forums, and the general Affino Help Forum where users can seek less pressing input.
These currently mostly consist of the immersive Design Training tutorials which our Head of Design Mark put together - fully covering the design and build discipline of the Affino Platform. While we're in the midst of bringing more Video Guides to you of different parts of the system - to support and supplement the written guides.
An underused, and outstanding, aspect of Affino’s support services, is to request specific guides if there are areas of Affino where you require more detailed input. Any Affino user can use the relevant Request Form to ask for a particular guide. Don't forget to note what manner of guide you are seeking - whether more of a general overview Reference Guide, or a more in-context Step-by-Step / How-to Guide.
As Affino is in continuous and rapid development and evolution - we pre-release quite a lot of new elements before they are fully feature complete. To help users acclimatise to and understand the scope of the new features. Some of these innovations will have 'teething problems' and the recommendation is always to test on your staging server first. You can largely look on these as 'Previews' of forthcoming innovations - as we often need some format of release candidate - in order to test and refine it in context!
Anyone can request a new feature in Affino - while more sway is held when several members of the community come together to request the same thing. Note that not all requests are viable, and while many can be incorporated within general and universal releases - some of these will incur costs, and some may need to be supported on a solely custom basis!
We notify and reference each new Affino Release in triplicate - via the Affino Updates Listing, Release Notes Blog Posts, and posting on the Affino Releases Forum. Keeping up-to-date with the Release Notes is essential for every Affino User - as it details everything that's new in the system - which often means systematic changes too, as well as reference parts which have become obsolete and are being withdrawn.
There's plenty of resources and follow-up postings on those elements to keep you fully informed and in-the-picture at all times. No one does release notes to the same level of detail as Affino. It's a great reference and resource for the power and impact of the system. And each month there are dozens, sometimes hundreds of new changes and improvements!
Affino is really a Family company in how it operates and how we support our customers and clients. When you take Affino onboard - you become another member of the family and will be looked after with the same care and attention that decent family members have for each other. We respects and support all our colleagues and extend the self same courtesy to all our users and customers. If you're recently onboard with Affino - Welcome to the family!
