We have been tracking the evolution of AI platforms and services for some time to identify when would be the best point to roll them out to the Affino community.
The introduction of OpenAI’s ChatGPT 3, the rapid improvements of Midjourney and many other AI tech providers, along with the accelerating evolution of large language models, vector storage, and AI toolkits such as Langchain, made it clear that AI services have now reached a level of maturity that make it essential for Affino to adopt in depth.
We have as a result been fully focused on embracing and onboarding AI services into the core Affino offering since last year. In many ways Affino is well prepared, as we identified and adopted many of the key AI technologies and programming languages some years ago, in preparation for this moment, including making Python one of our primary languages.
AI introduces a whole new way of working, and indeed thinking, and is evolving at a fast pace. Any YouTube tutorial, or online help guide, which is two weeks old is likely to be out of date. This means that to fully embrace and deliver AI services it is not enough to follow guides and manuals, you need a more fundamental understanding of how these services have built up.
Affino’s new AI services are delivered through a combination of Affino’s existing services, and a new serverless AI architecture based on the market leading AWS Lambda, Pinecone and ChatGPT service. This will undoubtedly evolve rapidly as we are iterating the services on a weekly basis.
In essence Affino will work with you to transform your content and data into new services and user experiences. Whether this is automatically taking your help guides and ’how to’ content and creating a helpful assistant; or indexing 100 years of content which can be interrogated by an AI to identify emerging patterns.
We will soon be launching our new AI based support assistant, which has been trained on Affino’s help guides and FAQ’s. This assistant will evolve rapidly as it answers your questions and is trained to answer them better. We have been using this in-house now for some weeks and have found it to be excellent.
Behind the scenes we are feeding over 13,000 of Affino’s technical specifications into its own Spec AI, with the aim of speeding up Affino’s development and support further, and have adapted all of Affino’s Release Notes into a new Release Bot. These three bots are already assisting the Affino team multiple times each day.
One of the key elements we have been focused on is identifying where AI can add the most value, and where alternative approaches are preferable. We have also been working on the best commercial models for rolling out AI services, something which Affino SaaS excels on and can be greatly leveraged.
Affino is already exploring multiple AI services for the Affino community and we have launched our AI Prototyping Services whereby we will deliver both AI Prototyping and Proof of Concept services on request.
For the existing AI community, we can now easily convert any of your content into AI services, and for organisations new to Affino we have extensive content import tools, APIs, inbound feeds, CMS and user generated content services all of which can be leveraged to quickly pull in content.
This can then rapidly be monetised using Affino’s extensive commercial capabilities.
