TTG Media recently launched its Noticeboard Service - which allows Travel PR’s to submit their Press Releases directly for publication within the ’Noticeboard’ area on TTG, including the TTG Homepage and Site Search.
TTG Editorial staff found that a significant part of their day was spent reviewing and editing press release related content in an effort to best serve the travel industry with breaking and evolving stories.
In an effort to improve the productivity of the editorial team, and to free up resources to focus on creating as much value added insights - TTG launched the Noticeboard so that the Travel Industry PR’s can post the news directly to TTG’s travel audience.
Of course there are certain guidelines in place - and if PR’s follow those properly - then their press releases can be live and out there incredibly quickly. Much quicker and more effortless than for TTG to have to re-type and re-edit all that down to standard. By enforcing the standard - the Noticeboard system accelerates publication for Client and Publisher alike.
There are tight guidelines and workflows in place for the PR article submissions, and Affino does much to simplify the moderation process by locking down the number of characters submitted, providing lockdown settings on the use of the WYSIWYG editor, including locking down URLs, and providing an image cropping tool to ensure all images submitted are exactly the right proportion and size. The workflow moderation service also supports one-click approval and easy rejection with notes.
In essence this is an easy-to-use moderated article submission system ’on-rails’ to make this the easiest and quickest way to publish those press releases.
This is a classic example of Affino’s Client Self Service capabilities - where so much of the heavy lifting can in effect be outsourced to the client in a way which is also appealing for them.
PR's need to Apply to be part of the Noticeboad Service - where upon approval they will get access to their own Articles Repository - where they can work on drafts and then submit final versions to the Noticeboard.

The above YouTube video was recorded at the launch of the Noticeboard Service - where Digital Manager Steve Hinds takes you through the guidelines and steps you need to follow to publish Press Releases as part of this service.
Some great advice on getting the most out of this service - and essential viewing for all PR's!
The Press Release Article Submission Form has 5 main entry fields - where the key limits are highlighted in parenthesis as below :
Topics : Accommodation, Agents, Air, City and Finance, Cruise, Destinations, Diversity and Inclusion, Holiday essentials, Hotels and Resorts, Insurance, Luxury, Operations, People, Product, Responsible business, Skills, Sustainability, Technology, Touring and Adventure.
This simplified approach makes it easy to submit impactful press releases fast and easily and to classify them effectively.
TTG Main images are normally 3:2 ratio - so you get an option to optimally crop your accompanying image to fit the appropriate format!
Each PR has their own Articles (Press Releases) Repository - where you get the option to 'Save a Draft' while you're still working on it and refining it. Once you hit the 'Submit' button you can no longer edit that article.
There will be a forthcoming facility that allows you to delete Press Released - where maximum Article capacity is 10,000 per user.
The big wins for Travel PR's are:
Another benefit to PR's includes TTG picking up on the stories further if they are significantly newsworthy.
